Seeking experienced operating room nurse with orthopedic experience to work at an established outpatient Ambulatory Surgery Center in Maryland. The ideal candidate will be able to scrub and circulate, but ability to scrub is a must. Currently looking for an experienced Operating Room (OR) Nurse to fill an opening with a premier outpatient Ambulatory Surgery Center in Northwest Washington DC. Interested candidates should have at least 2+ years of current circulating operating room experience and some outpatient surgical experience preferably.

 

Responsibilities of the OR Nurse

 

  • Provide exceptional care to patients
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans for patients
  • Monitor and observe patients
  • Support the health care team
  • Insure that life support equipment function properly
  • Observe patient’s vital signs

Requirements of the OR Nurse

  • 2+ years of current circulating operating room experience
  • Orthopedic experience required.  
  • Outpatient Surgical experience preferred.
  • Associate’s Degree
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Active RN License - unencumbered.
  • Current BLS
